CrushOn AI vs OurDream AI
One is a model-rich character-chat service. The other combines roleplay with character creation, images, videos, voice calls and a creator community under one dreamcoin balance.

CrushOn AI and OurDream AI overlap in adult fictional roleplay, public character discovery and custom character creation. That overlap can make them look interchangeable. They are not.
CrushOn is the more direct chat product: free-model conversation, a broad model picker, context tiers up to 24K, group chat and voice. OurDream is closer to a roleplay studio, placing chat beside image and video generation, calls, personas and a creator community. It requires an active subscription for media, then meters many actions in dreamcoins.
The short answer
Choose CrushOn AI when the conversation itself is the product. Its current public material emphasises model choice, mid-chat switching, long context, a large character library and a free-model lane that does not consume advanced-model credits. The entry paid plan is also much cheaper than OurDream's monthly subscription.
Choose OurDream AI when generated media is part of the relationship. Its official product overview describes five chat-model choices, persistent memory, user personas, group conversations, image creation and editing, videos up to 60 seconds, audio for video and live voice calls. Those are meaningful additions, but most use dreamcoins and some disappear behind an active-subscription requirement.
Neither conclusion is a prose-quality verdict. We did not run a controlled, repeated benchmark across every model and tier. A platform can publish a 24K context ceiling without every character using it equally well; a platform can advertise persistent memory without remembering the fact that matters to your story. The repeatable test below is designed to measure those behaviours in your own account.

Free access, plans and dreamcoins
CrushOn's free lane is easier to understand
CrushOn's current product page separates free and advanced models. The free tier advertises unlimited chats on the free-model list plus 100 monthly credits for trying Pro models. Standard begins at $5.99 per month with 2,000 credits. Premium is listed at $14.99 per month with 6,000 credits and additional model and memory access; higher plans increase allowances and reach the published 24K context ceiling.
The useful distinction is free model versus credit-consuming model. Someone satisfied with a free model can keep chatting without draining the advanced-model balance. Frequent Pro or Ultra users should calculate cost from the model selected. Our CrushOn pricing guide tracks the full structure.
OurDream combines membership and consumption
OurDream's official subscription guide currently lists one Standard membership in two billing forms:
| OurDream billing | Charge | Dreamcoins supplied |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly | $19.99 each month | 1,000 immediately, then 1,000 on each monthly renewal |
| Annual | $119.88 paid upfront ($9.99/month equivalent) | 2,000 immediately, then 1,000 each month |
Ordinary subscriber chat is listed at zero dreamcoins. The Genius and Lively Genius models cost 1 coin per response. A free user pays 1 coin per message and lacks access to most of the platform's media features. Image and video generation require an active subscription, and buying additional dreamcoins also requires an active subscription.
The yearly headline is an equivalent rate: the full $119.88 is charged at once. Existing coins roll, but membership still controls whether some outputs can be viewed or created.
There is also a conflict in OurDream's own current documentation. Its June 2026 AI information page says a free account starts with 55 dreamcoins. A more recently edited August 2026 community FAQ says free dreamcoins come only through referrals. We therefore do not promise a fixed signup grant. Check the balance shown in the newly created account before treating any free-media allowance as real.
What 1,000 dreamcoins buys
All 1,000 monthly coins would fund 100 two-image standard batches or ten five-second standard videos before other charges. Character creation, premium replies, edits, enhancements and narration may share that balance. Compare the workflow you will actually use.
Models, context and memory
CrushOn publishes the clearer model-control story. Its current pages advertise more than ten selectable models, model switching within a continuing conversation, an 8K free context level, 16K on central paid tiers and up to 24K on upper tiers. Different models consume different quantities of credits, so a larger allowance does not translate into one fixed number of replies.
The picker lets users preserve a thread while checking whether another model follows the same character definition better. Any review that omits model, context and plan is not reproducible.
OurDream's official overview says it offers five AI chat-model choices, including faster everyday models and thinking-oriented options. Its coin guide separately names Genius and Lively Genius as paid-per-response options. The public documentation we reviewed does not provide an equally clear token-window table, so we will not invent an OurDream context number merely to fill a comparison cell.
Instead, OurDream emphasises a four-layer persistent-memory system and user personas. A persona describes who the user is inside a particular roleplay; it is distinct from the AI character's appearance, personality and backstory. This can reduce the need to restate the user's identity when changing characters or scenarios. CrushOn handles comparable continuity through profile cards, saved memory, pinned material and World Cards, with capacity varying by plan.
Context holds recent detail; persistent memory stores selected facts beyond that rolling window. Neither specification guarantees good recall. CrushOn gives the more concrete ceiling, while OurDream makes the broader architectural claim. Use the same continuity test before paying annually.

Characters, personas and group chat
Both platforms let users browse community characters and create their own. CrushOn's strength is the scale of its creator-led card library and the ability to pair a card with different hosted models. Its authoring tools support personality, scenario and opening-message design, while profile and world information can carry recurring context into a longer campaign.
OurDream treats character creation as part of a wider production pipeline. Its creator covers appearance, personality, voice, relationship and backstory. The current guide lists 10 dreamcoins to create a chatbot, including two images; additional image regenerations cost 5 coins each.
Personas matter most to users who play different identities. You can keep the AI character constant while changing the role you occupy, or reuse one persona across several stories. This is useful for structured roleplay and should not be confused with uploading a photograph of yourself. OurDream's official help centre says it does not allow reference-photo uploads for characters or generations.
Both support group chat. CrushOn offers multi-character scenes on paid plans; OurDream's official overview claims up to 12 characters. More speakers also make identity and turn control harder, so test three before assuming twelve will remain coherent.
OurDream also has creator profiles, feeds and community packs. Packs bundle one character's media and cost 250, 750 or 1,000 dreamcoins by size. They do not unlock every character and become blurred when membership expires.
Images, video and voice
This is the largest functional difference.
OurDream's current dreamcoin guide publishes the following costs for subscribers:
| OurDream action | Published cost |
|---|---|
| In-chat image | 5 dreamcoins per image |
| Standard image generation | 10 dreamcoins per two images |
| Image enhancement | 10 dreamcoins per image |
| Image edit with Spark | 10 dreamcoins per image |
| Image edit with Eclipse | 20 dreamcoins per image |
| Standard video | 100 dreamcoins per 5 seconds, up to 60 seconds |
| Ultra-quality video | 200 dreamcoins per video |
| Video enhancement | 50 dreamcoins per 5 seconds |
| Add 5 seconds to a video | 50% of the original generation cost |
| Add audio to video | 20 dreamcoins per second of audio |
| Live voice call | 50 dreamcoins per minute |
| Selected chat narration voices | 0 coins; premium voices cost 5 coins per paragraph |
The list makes budgeting possible. A one-minute standard video has a 1,200-coin base cost before enhancement or audio, already above the ordinary monthly grant. Treat the allowance as a production budget.
The overview also advertises editing, batch generation, multiple video modes and upscaling. These claims describe availability, not quality; we did not generate samples or invent a success rate.
CrushOn is much more chat-centred. It has no built-in image or video generation, while its voice system offers published presets and custom-voice capacity by tier. If visual creation is a purchase requirement, OurDream has the documented toolset. If most sessions are text, its coin schedule may be needless overhead.
OurDream also bans uploaded reference photos. A workflow that begins with a supplied portrait does not fit its documented input rules.

Devices, ownership and content rules
CrushOn provides a responsive web app, an Android APK and iPhone access through the browser. OurDream's current help article says there is no standalone mobile app. It can be added to an iPhone or Android home screen as a web shortcut, which improves launch convenience but is not the same as a native app with a separately documented feature set.
OurDream allows public pages to be browsed without an account. Chatting, generating, publishing and other interactive actions require an account restricted to adults. The official acceptable-use policy allows original adult fictional characters and consensual adult scenarios, while prohibiting real-person likenesses, existing protected characters and several categories of harmful or prohibited material. Prompts and generated text, images and videos can be screened. “Adult” therefore does not mean unmoderated.
OurDream's terms say users own the characters and generations they elicit as between themselves and Dream Studio, while granting Dream Studio a broad, perpetual licence. Its help centre permits commercial use of qualifying user-generated images and videos under published conditions.
For CrushOn, check the current terms against the intended use; this article does not infer commercial rights from a download button.
OurDream describes encryption in transit and at rest, while its policies also allow content screening and specified uses. Keep names, payment details, private photographs and identifying information out of either platform.
Failed generations, cancellation and refunds
If an OurDream generation times out, hits a documented policy error or fails because of a server error, dreamcoins are automatically refunded. The guide says to contact support with the timestamp and balance if they have not returned after 15 minutes.
A completed but disappointing output is different from a generation marked failed. Budget for iteration, especially for video and audio.
Subscription expiry has an unusual consequence. Dreamcoins do not expire merely because membership ends, but images, videos and purchased community packs become blurred without an active subscription. The account also cannot buy additional coins until it is subscribed again. Restoring membership restores access according to the help centre. Anyone building a permanent private archive should understand that continuing access is linked to membership, not just to the coins already spent.
OurDream says products used beyond 25% are ineligible for refund, monthly subscriptions cannot be refunded after included coins are used, annual plans may receive full or partial refunds, and cryptocurrency payments are non-refundable. The live policy controls.
CrushOn's risk is repeated use of credit-consuming models. Record one normal week's model and credit use before upgrading.
A repeatable comparison test
Use one fictional character and one fixed script. Record the date, tier, model and balance before starting.
- Create the same brief. Give the fictional adult a profession, speech habit, dislike, past event and present goal.
- Run ten text turns. Check voice, initiative, repetition and whether the model writes the user's actions.
- Correct one fact. A clean correction is more valuable than a model that merely sounds confident. Note whether the correction survives five more turns.
- Test delayed recall. Refer to the past event near the beginning, change topics, then mention it indirectly later. Do not restate it. This measures practical continuity better than a context number alone.
- Switch models. Preserve the thread, change model and record whether voice or instruction following changes.
- Add a persona. Define who the user is in the scene. Check whether the model respects the persona instead of inventing a conflicting identity.
- Try a three-character room. Measure turn order and identity confusion before testing a larger group.
- Audit the meter. Compare starting and ending balances, separating chat from media.
- Test relevant media. Create one standard image and five-second video, recording settings and cost without turning one output into a quality score.
- Return the next day. Ask for a continuation without summarising. The result exposes what the platform actually retained.
Prefer the one needing fewer corrections within a repeatable monthly budget.
Verdict
Choose CrushOn AI if your priority is text roleplay, model choice and an accessible free lane. It publishes the clearer context tiers, lets users compare a broad model roster, starts paid access at $5.99 and does not require a media subscription merely to have a long conversation. It is the simpler recommendation for someone who regards images and voice as additions to chat rather than the centre of the product.
Choose OurDream AI if you want one fictional character system spanning text, personas, group chat, images, editing, video and live voice. It offers the broader creative pipeline and unusually transparent action-level coin prices. Accept the trade-offs: $19.99 monthly entry, membership-gated media, a meter for premium actions, no reference-photo upload and no standalone app according to its current help centre.
Choose CrushOn for the clearer free test. OurDream's official sources disagree about whether a new account receives 55 dreamcoins, while the newer FAQ says free coins come through referrals. That ambiguity makes it difficult to promise a meaningful free media trial.
Choose OurDream for documented video. A five-second standard clip is 100 dreamcoins and a full 60-second base generation is 1,200. The numbers are clear enough to budget before subscribing, even if quality still needs personal evaluation.

Questions and official sources
Is OurDream AI free?
Public pages can be browsed and an account can exist without a paid subscription, but free-user chats cost 1 dreamcoin per message and most media features require membership. Official pages currently conflict on a fixed signup reward, so check the balance in the live account rather than relying on a promised number.
Which is cheaper, CrushOn AI or OurDream AI?
CrushOn Standard starts at $5.99, while OurDream costs $19.99 monthly. OurDream includes 1,000 dreamcoins and broader media tools, so value depends on whether you use them.
Does OurDream AI generate video?
Yes. Its current cost guide lists standard video at 100 dreamcoins per five seconds, up to 60 seconds. Enhancement, extension and audio use additional coins. An active subscription is required for image and video generation.
Can I upload a reference photo to OurDream?
No, according to the official help article reviewed October 18, 2026. OurDream says it does not allow reference-photo uploads for character creation or generation. Build an original fictional character within its tools instead.
Does OurDream support personas and group chat?
Yes. Its official product overview lists user personas and group conversations with up to 12 characters. A persona defines the user's identity in the roleplay; it is separate from the AI character.
Which platform has better memory?
The public specifications are not directly comparable. CrushOn publishes context tiers up to 24K. OurDream advertises a four-layer persistent-memory system but does not publish a matching token-window table in the pages reviewed. Test recall with the same character and delayed-reference script.
What happens when an OurDream generation fails?
The official failure guide says dreamcoins are automatically refunded for timeouts, content-policy failures and server errors. Wait up to 15 minutes, then contact support with the generation time and balance if the refund is missing.
Can OurDream generations be used commercially?
OurDream's help centre permits commercial use of qualifying images and videos generated by the user, subject to its conditions. Its terms also grant Dream Studio a broad licence over submitted and generated content, so read both documents for the intended project.
Does OurDream have an iPhone or Android app?
Its current help page says there is no standalone mobile app. The website can be added to an iPhone or Android home screen as an app-like shortcut.
How current are these prices and features?
They were checked October 18, 2026 against official vendor pages. The OurDream free-credit conflict is disclosed instead of silently choosing one claim. Promotions, regional prices, coin costs and model availability can change, so verify checkout and the in-account cost label before purchase.
